Farmers across the UK launch 'Mission 4 Milk'

A brand new campaign has been launched by dairy farmers across the UK to promote the health benefits of milk!

The Mission 4 Milk campaign sets to raise awareness about how milk can be part of a healthy lifestyle.

Mission 4 Milk states "With the rise of plant-based alternatives, the reduction of free milk in schools, and the shift away from milk marketing, the average shopper doesn’t know why they should drink milk."

Cow’s milk is packed full of essential, natural vitamins and nutrients – many of which you can't get anywhere else. It’s great for your bones and for your teeth. It’s also great for your brain!

Dairy farmer Andy Venables, who is behind the campaign, recently spoke at the British Cattle Breeders Conference on the marketing of milk. He said he felt 'so strongly' that little had changed in the last decade, and decided to take matters into his own hands. He is now asking for the public, and industry, to help promote the campaign. Farmers across the UK launch 'Mission 4 Milk'

Throughout the whole of February, farmers everywhere have been supporting the campaign and celebrating all things diary. The campaign even has it's own official hashtag which can be used on all social media platforms - #FebruDairy.

Livestock sustainability consultant Dr Jude Capper - who is the brainchild behind the Mission 4 Milk initiative, said she's proud to work with "many wonderful people" who care for their cows and produce milk and dairy products.
