Kentish grain grown in fields within 20 miles of the distillery’s home in Chatham Dockyard makes Dockyard Gin extra special.

Grains from local farming partner – Burden Bros on the Isle of Sheppey – are delivered at the distillery via a 113-year-old grain barge, the Edith May, on a three-hour voyage from the island to Chatham.

And sourcing produce locally helps the brand control the quality and consistency of every drop.

Dockyard Gin is made using Italian Juniper berries, locally sourced elderflower, Bulgarian Coriander seeds, Spanish orange peel, Italian lemon peel, Guatemala green cardamom, grains of paradise from Africa, European Angelica root and Orris root, plus Kent’s own neutral grain spirit and Kentish chalk filtered water

Visitors to the Chatham Dockyard site can see the copper stills in the flesh on distillery tours. You can experience the grain-to-glass process and explore Pump House No. 5 on a guided tour.

After your tour why not enjoy a perfect serve of the signature Dockyard Gin and Tonic in the visitor centre or, on a sunny day, on Distiller’s Lawn overlooking the River Medway.
