Ainscough Secures Four New Land Deals
Ainscough Strategic Land has announced four further land promotion agreements as the new year gets off to a strong start.
The deals, which will see two sites in Cheshire, one in Warrington and one in Worcestershire promoted through the planning system for new housing, have the capacity for almost 1,700 new homes. The company’s latest financial figures saw it turn over £10.6m on sales of land that delivered 830 new homes.
The Leigh-based strategic land business works in partnership with farmers and landowners to secure planning permission for housing or mixed-use developments and shares in the uplift in value once the land is sold with planning permission.
“This is a good start to the year and vindicates our strong working relationship with farmers, land owners and their agents across the country,” said David O’Reilly, land director at Ainscough.
The two Cheshire sites, if approved, would deliver close to 400 new homes in the Chester and Cheshire West local authority area, with a further 300 in Warrington. The midlands scheme would deliver up to 1,100 new units in Worcestershire.
“The fundamentals of the UK housing market remain strong and with a growing population we need to find space to house people, and we are actively looking to secure further opportunities across the UK” said Mr O’Reilly. “Our in-house skills, together with support from knowledgeable local consultants, have gained us a 95 per cent success rate of all sites put forward for planning permission to date.”
